American LaFrance

Completed in 2007

The American LaFrance Corporate Headquarters brings the company’s corporate, engineering, manufacturing, and customer-facing operations together within a campus designed to reflect the heritage of the historic fire apparatus manufacturer. The development includes a 40,000 SF corporate headquarters with a new-vehicle delivery showroom and antique vehicle museum, 20,000 SF of engineering offices, and approximately 400,000 SF of manufacturing space.

Drawing inspiration from classic industrial architecture, the design features a timeless brick aesthetic with arched openings, warehouse-style windows, and detailing reminiscent of early manufacturing facilities. A prominent entry tower and spire establish a strong sense of arrival, while oversized arched garage doors frame the vehicles on display and reinforce the connection between the architecture and American LaFrance’s legacy.

This project was recognized with a Design Achievement Award from the Tilt-Up Construction Association 2008.
