About Us

Established in 1996 as the local affiliate of Merriman Associates Architects of Dallas, Texas, Merriman Schmitt Architects has grown into a successful national architecture and interiors firm providing a wide array of design services, including site master planning, architecture, interior architecture/design/space planning, construction document preparation, construction administration, and 3D rendering and visualization to clients nationwide. The firm specializes in Class A office buildings and interiors, retail shopping centers, mixed-use projects, industrial, distribution and flex spaces, and hospitality design. The firm has designed more than 30 million square feet of space in nearly a dozen states throughout the U.S., and won numerous awards, including 2009 Achievement Awards from the Tilt-Up Concrete Association for Wilton Connor Packaging and 3D Systems projects; a 2008 FIERO Merit Award and a 2008 Merit Award from the Tilt-up Concrete Association for the American LaFrance Headquarters in Charleston, S.C.; and a 2007 Merit Award from the Tilt-up Concrete Association, for the Hagemeyer North American Headquarters, also in Charleston, S.C.
